A major manhunt is underway following an armed robbery in Southport last night.
A man carrying a knife and wearing a face mask demanded cigarettes from staff at a Smith Street service station.
The terrifying ordeal happened around 7.30pm, with the man then fleeing on foot down the street.
A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed no arrests have been made.
The investigation remains ongoing.
