LATEST @ 10.45 AM | Police have confirmed a man has died following a horror crane crash at Currumbin Valley this morning.
The crane is believed to have been driving up Vita Bella Court around 8.30am when it rolled down an embankment in the wet weather.
Emergency crews rushed to the crash site, but despite their efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the sudden and non-suspicious death of a 69-year-old man at Currumbin Valley following a crane rollover,” A Gold Coast police spokesperson told myGC.
The Forensic Crash Unit has launched an investigation into the fatal incident.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has also been advised.
There is no further information available.
