A man has died after being struck by a vehicle while standing on the side of the road in Yatala.
A truck travelling west on Computer Rd struck a Holden Commodore around 2.07pm on Monday afternoon.
The Commodore was then pushed into a parked Ford Courier.
A 57-year-old Woodridge man who was standing beside the Ford was also struck.
He suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.
A second person was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The truck driver, a 46-year-old Murrarie man was taken into custody at the scene and is assisting Police with enquiries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating with officers appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
