Police have confirmed a man has died after a horror truck crash in the Gold Coast hinterland.
The vehicle was travelling along Beechmont Road in Witherin around 9.40am on Wednesday when it left the road and crashed down an embankment.
The male driver, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle, was declared deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit has now been called in to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Beechmont Road is closed in both directions near Rhoades Road and motorists are being urged to avoid the area or expect significant delays.
