A man has been hospitalised following a nasty skateboard crash on the Gold Coast.
Emergency crews were called to Alumni Place in Southport around 12.45am this morning following reports a person had fallen from a skateboard.
Upon arrival, they found a man in his 30s suffering a significant head injury.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast Univeristy Hospital for further treatment.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed he was transported in a stable condition.
