A man has been injured following an alleged late-night assault in Burleigh Heads.
The 21-year-old was reportedly attacked in a toilet block at the rear of a licensed premise on the Gold Coast Highway just before 12.30am.
Police say initial investigations suggest an altercation broke out between two men before the 21-year-old was punched, knocking him to the ground.
The man suffered an eye injury in the attack.
He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police say investigations into the incident are continuing.
