A man has had to be rescued after being hit by a falling tree in the hinterland overnight.
It’s believed the man was cutting down trees at a property along Mundoolun Connection Road in Boyland around 7pm when one of them fell on him.
The impact caused the man to fall down an embankment, reportedly leaving him trapped in some water.
Firies had to be called in to help the man, aged in his 50s, to safety.
He was then treated at the scene by paramedics for a leg injury before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
