Man in serious condition after being hit by ute in Helensvale

A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after being hit by a ute in Helensvale.

The man, aged in his 40s, was struck at the intersection of Helensvale Road and Serenity Boulevard just before 6pm on Tuesday.

It’s understood the vehicle involved lost control on the roundabout before hitting the pedestrian.

The man suffered multiple injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Police investigations are ongoing.
