A man has been hospitalised after falling over four metres at a worksite in Tugun.

The worker in his 40s fell through scaffolding just after 10am while working at a site along Bielby Street.

He was treated at the scene with spinal precautions in place due to back pain.

Paramedics have transported him to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Workplace Health and Safety have been called in to investigate.

It comes just two days after a man was seriously injured at a worksite in Palm Beach after falling through a hole.
