Man fighing for life after being struck by car in Gold Coast party precinct

A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Surfers Paradise.

The 31-year-old suffered a head injury after being struck along the Gold Coast Highway at around 11.30 last night.

He was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man, stopped to render assistance.

Police are investigating.
