Police have managed to catch up with a wanted man after he outran officers by jumping over the fences of multiple homes on the northern Gold Coast.
The man was first spotted behind the wheel of a stolen silver Mercedes SUV in Ormeau on Thursday night.
When police tried to intercept the vehicle, the man dumped the car and ran off.
He’s then accused of scaling the fences of a number of Ormeau homes, entering yards and houses, in a bid to shake off officers.
Police were able to eventually locate the man with the help of information from the public and took him into custody.
The 29-year-old from Ianala has since been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling and commit indictable offence, enter dwelling with intent to commit indictable offence, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property and obstruct police officer.
