A swimmer has died after being pulled from the surf at Broadbeach.
Paramedics were called to the beach near Margaret Avenue just after 1.30pm.
The man in his 60s had disappeared while swimming in the water before being found unconscious.
CPR was performed by lifeguards and paramedics but the man could not be revived.
It’s understood the man was a tourist on holiday on the Gold Coast with his wife.
