A man has been charged with a string of offences after a large haul of weapons were seized from a home in Labrador.
Officers raided a home on Turpin Rd early on Sunday morning as part of an investigation into the illegal supply of firearms.
Police located two pistol crossbows, a shortened 12 gauge shotgun, a musket style handgun, a replica handgun and two taser cartridges.
They also found two MDMA tablets.
A 53-year-old Labrador man has been charged with firearm and drug offences.
He is due to front Southport Magistrates Court on March 8.
Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith said police will continue to target serious offences particularly involving the illegal firearm trade.
“The selling of illegal firearms can lead to them being used in the commission of other serious or violent crimes which is why we will maintain our focus on those involved and bring them before the courts,” Det Supt Smith said.
