A man is in custody over a violent shooting and stabbing sparked by a neighbourhood dispute in Surfers Paradise.
Emergency services were called to a unit complex on Peninsula Drive around 2am on Monday following reports of a disturbance.
A 44-year-old man had been found with stab wounds to his leg, neck and head.
A 21-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound to his stomach and groin and a laceration to his bag.
A 23-year-old man had also suffered lacerations and a foot injury.
Police believe the altercation began when the victims tried to intervene in a dispute happing in the unit upstairs.
After spending two days on the run, officers arrested a 30-year-old man in Palm Meadows at Carrara around 1pm on Wednesday afternoon.
It’s understood the man was taken under guard to hospital for treatment on injuries suffered in the attack.
He has since been charged with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, dangerous conduct with a weapon and unlawful possession of weapons category H weapon (firearm) used to commit indictable offence.
He is due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court today
