A man has been arrested and charged following a stabbing on the Gold Coast overnight.
A 43-year-old man was alone in his bedroom at Huon Street in Broadbeach Waters when a man known to him walked in at around 7pm.
He was then attacked by the 56-year-old man using an “unknown implement”, according to police.
The victim suffered stab wounds to his bicep and forearm.
The accused was located in a vehicle on Australia Avenue at Broadbeach following a police search.
He was taken into custody without incident around 9.45pm.
The 56-year-old Broadbeach Waters man has been charged with wounding and two counts of wilful damage.
He is due to face the Southport Magistrates Court today.
