Police are investigating after a man crashed a stolen Mustang in Southport early this morning.

The vehicle lost control at the intersection of Nind and High Street around 1.10am.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene, however, police confirmed no one was injured.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody at the scene and is continuing to assist officers with investigations.

The car is believed to have been stolen from Newstead in Brisbane, however no charges have been laid at this stage.

Investigations are ongoing.
