Man, woman arrested on Gold Coast over 'suspicious' Logan house fire

Two people have been arrested on the Gold Coast after fire tore through a home in Logan early this morning.

Emergency crews were called to Price Court in Crestmead around 1.30am following reports of a large blaze.

Upon arrival, they found the property engulfed in flames, with the intensity of the blaze causing the home’s roof to cave in.

Police quickly declared the fire suspicious and established a crime scene.

Following investigations, a man was taken into custody in Southport a short time later, while a woman was arrested in Pimpama.

Both are continuing to assist police with investigations.
