Police are investigating an alleged drunken crash in Carrara early this morning.
A Ford Ranger was travelling westbound on Nielsens Road around 2am, when the vehicle veered off the road before flipping onto its side.
Officers arrived on scene just moments after the crash and spoke with the driver, a 37-year-old Mudgeeraba man.
He was taken to Nerang Police Station, where he allegedly provided a blood alcohol reading of 0.116, more than twice the legal limit.
The man’s licence was immediately suspended.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam vision to come forward.
