A major outage has left more than 6,000 homes and businesses without power on the Gold Coast.
The majority of impacted customers are in Varsity Lakes and Robina.
However, there are also areas of Clear Island Waters and Burleigh Waters that are also offline.
Energex is investigating the cause of the outage.
An Energex spokesperson says crews are currently on the scene at the Varsity Lakes substation where the power has tripped.
It’s not clear when power might be restored.
