Lucky escape after truck smashes into northern Gold Coast home

A family in Ormeau has had quite a scare after a truck smashed into the front of their house.

The truck was parked outside the property on Arthur Way before it rolled around 20 metres down a hill and into the garage.

The incident happened just before midday today.

It’s understood a father and his two children were home at the time but were uninjured.

One fire crew were on scene, while paramedics were not required.
