Police are investigating a crash involving a stolen car on the M1 that has caused lengthy delays for motorists.
Just before 5am, a stolen white Mitsubishi Outlander collided with a van in the southbound lanes of the motorway near Exit 49 at Pimpama.
The accident caused the van to roll, trapping the driver inside.
He was freed by emergency services a short time later and taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition for assessment, however is not believed to be suffering any serious injuries.
The occupants of the Mitsubishi fled the scene with a search continuing.
All four lanes of the M1 have since been reopened but motorists are being warned of ongoing delays.
As at 6.30am, southbound traffic was slow from Yatala, while northbound traffic was under speed from Oxenford.
