A man has been charged after allegedly robbing a Surfers Paradise chemist at knifepoint.
The 19-year-old is accused of storming the business along Surfers Paradise Boulevard around 11.30pm on Wednesday.
“It will be alleged the man entered the chemist and threatened staff with a knife,” A Queensland Police spokesperson said.
He managed to get away with a number of items, but it didn’t take long for police to catch up with him.
He was tracked down on the beach a short time later, where officers were forced to enter the surf to arrest him.
