Firefighters have been forced to use the jaws of life to cut a woman from the wreckage of a car after a nasty crash in Labrador.
The woman was the passenger in a vehicle that smashed into a set of traffic lights at the intersection of Central Street and Government Road around 9.40pm on Wednesday.
Emergency crews desperately worked to rescue the woman, who suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash.
She was eventually freed before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital where she remains fighting for her life.
The driver of the vehicle managed to escape with only minor injuries.
Police ivestigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
