Aviation fans can get to work planning their Gold Coast getaways, with the dates for next year’s Pacific Airshow officially locked in.
It’s been confirmed the excitement will return to the skies of Surfers Paradise from Friday, 15 August through to Sunday, 17 August 2025.
Organisers of the hugely popular event have decided to drop the dates early, to give people plenty of time to lock in annual leave and take advantage of accommodation booking offers.
Director of the Pacific Airshow, Kevin Elliott, is promising an even bigger, faster and louder show after thrilling fans in 2024.
“I encourage everyone to lock plans in to ensure you’re front and centre for what is anticipated to be another spectacular weekend,” he said.
“The response to our 2024 Pacific Airshow has set a new benchmark for success. This year, we saw a 20% increase in ticketed attendance and reports indicate a similarly significant rise in spectator numbers outside the ticketed areas as well.
“The feedback from attendees and local businesses has been overwhelmingly positive, everyone enjoyed the vibe, and our team is already working hard to ensure the 2025 event surpasses this year’s achievements.”
More than 270,000 people turned out to witness the non-stop aerial action and entertainment across the three-days this year, with tourism bosses hailing it one of the city’s biggest events.
“The Pacific Airshow Gold Coast is now firmly on its way to becoming one of the biggest events on our city’s annual calendar, providing a $33 million boost for the local economy in 2024,” Experience Gold Coast CEO John Warn said.
“Organisers promised 2024 would be bigger and better than their debut year and they delivered, putting on an unforgettable action-packed show over our iconic Surfers Paradise beach.
“We can’t wait to see what they have in store for 2025.”
Tickets for Pacific Airshow Gold Coast will go on sale in early 2025.
