People on the Gold Coast are being urged to check their Lotto tickets, with a mystery millionaire among us!
The Lott has confirmed not one but two Queenslanders held winning tickets in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw, but both are yet to discover the life-changing news.
One of the players was from the Gold Coast, while the other entry was purchased in Townsville, each taking home a whopping $1.2 million.
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said both entries were not registered to a player card so officials have no way of contacting them.
“These two winners are likely oblivious they each became millionaires over the long weekend,” he said.
“We’re urging anyone who purchased a Saturday Gold Lotto ticket in Townsville or on the Gold Coast to check their tickets today!
“How exciting would it be to discover you’ve won more than a million dollars? It would be an unforgettable moment!”
The Gold Coast entry was purchased from Paperboxx Robina at Robina Town Centre, which is the store’s first ever division one win.
“We couldn’t believe it! We’ve sold a few division two winning tickets – including one in last Saturday’s draw – but never a division one!” she said.
“Our regular customers who come in every week are going to be so excited to see that we’ve finally sold the big one! They’ve been saying they want to see a division one plaque up on our wall for a long time!”
The winning numbers in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw were 20, 45, 43, 27, 6 and 29, while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 9.
