Hero tradie helps save Gold Coast brothel following alleged arson attack

A hero tradie is being hailed for saving a Gold Coast brothel following an alleged attempted arson attack.

Police have confirmed they were called to the business on Jade Drive in Molendinar around 4.30pm on Tuesday following reports of a blaze.

It’s understood a waste bin full of condoms was set alight in an outdoor area of the business, with a disgruntled former worker allegedly behind the attack.

Fortunately the fire was contained to the bin, with a quick-thinking tradie that was working next door rushing to over to douse the flames.

No one was injured and no complaint has been made by the business owner, however police say they are still looking into it.
