The nominees for the 2022 TV WEEK Logie Awards have been announced on the Gold Coast ahead of the Australian television industry’s much-anticipated celebration next month.
The 62nd annual Logie Awards will take place on June 19 and will mark the first time the event has been held in three years due to the pandemic.
TV’s glitz and glamour will descend on The Star Gold Coast Entertainment Precinct Convention and Exhibition Centre for the awards, with seven stars vying for the coveted Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality On Australian Television.
The nominees for the top gong were officially unveiled at a star-studded breakfast celebration at the popular Burleigh Pavillion on Sunday.
They include Hamish Blake, Julia Morris, Karl Stefanovic, Melissa Leong, Ray Meagher, Sonia Kruger, and Tom Gleeson.
“What an amazing year of television it’s been and what a wonderful list of nominees,” TV Week Editor Stephen Downie said.
“This year’s nominations showcase our television industry’s incredible creativity and depth of talent.
“Congratulations to everyone nominated. I can’t wait to see who takes home a Logie on June 19.”
