Blues on Broadbeach has released an impressive second line-up of artists as it returns to the Gold Coast for its 22nd year!
The Living End frontman Chris Cheney is among those who will be hitting the stage in Broadbeach this May, debuting his first solo album The Storm Before the Calm.
He’ll perform alongside an array of other international and homegrown artists including Australian legend Tommy Emmanuel, who has already been locked in to perform, along with Don Walker, Emma Donovan and the Putbacks and The Kevin Borich Express.
After nearly a decade hiatus, it’s been revealed Melbourne Ska Orchestra will also be returning to the Blues on Broadbeach stage.
They’ll be joining 20 additional artists that have today been added to an already classy bill for 2023.
They include swamp-pop legend Tommy McLain, C.C. Adcock, Marcus Scott and the Bo Keys, Blue Shaddy, Albi & the Wolves, Little Georgia, 8 Ball Aitken, Julian James and the Moonshine State, Ian Collard and Mike Elrington.
“The Blues on Broadbeach team has put together a lineup for 2023 that will appeal to all our festival fans… Blues’ aficionados who have been coming to the festival for more than 20 years and new fans just discovering the genre,” Major Events Gold Coast Director of Festivals and Events Mark Duckworth said.
“Our festival has always been about the music and celebrating excellence in Blues’ craftsmanship, and that is what we have become known for both by the artists who perform on our stages, and by our audiences.”
The festival swings into action from 18 May and will be held across four days over four blocks of the iconic beachside precinct.
