A Gold Coast woman has scored the greatest Christmas present of all, winning more than $1 million in Wednesday night’s Gold Lotto draw.

The Coomera resident held one of two division one winning entries and will pocket a tidy $1,006,894.75.

“I haven’t slept for longer than five minutes since I saw the win last night!” the woman told officials from The Lott.

“Oh my god! I can’t believe this is real.

“I screamed my lungs hoarse last night, but I think it’s starting to sink in this morning.”

The woman plans to use the windfall to pay off her car, help her family and set her husband up for retirement.

“It’s the best early Christmas present I’ve ever received, and it’s going to change my life.”

Her winning entry was purchased at newsXpress in Coomera who say they’re over the moon for the winner.

For those who missed out in last night’s draw, $50 million is up for grabs in Powerball on Thursday night.
