A woman has had a terrifying encounter, waking to find two men and a woman ransacking her Ormeau home.
The woman was home alone at her Oppermann Drive property when she heard noises in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“It’s very concerning for us, when she went to investigate and she observed a male inside her house,” Chief Superintendant Craig Hanlon told ABC.
The woman was then confronted by another man, who was carrying some of her property.
“He’s run past her and actually assaulted her as he has exited the house,” Chief Supt Hanlon said.
“Thankfully the assault wasn’t serious and she didn’t receive serious injuries”.
A third offender, a female, was also seen running from the house.
The trio then left in a silver-coloured Subaru vehicle and remain on the run this morning.
“Were asking anyone with CCTV footage, or anyone who has seen a silver Subaru Liberty around Oppermann Drive to please contact us,” Chief Supt Hanlon said.
Investigations are ongoing.
