A Gold Coast woman involved in Tasmania’s biggest-ever seizure of ‘ice’ will be sentenced in Hobart today.

Jacqueline Pauline Fiala has pleaded guilty to two counts of drug trafficking.

It comes after police found a whopping $26 million worth of the drug in car tyres brought into the state from Queensland via the Spirit of Tasmania.

The trafficking occurred between November 2019 and May 2021, which is when the 50-year-old was first arrested.

The State is pushing to seize the woman’s $1.5 million Broadbeach Waters home as part of today’s penalty.
