Gold Coast woman charged with allegedly grooming schoolboy

A Gold Coast woman has been charged over the alleged grooming of a Brisbane schoolboy.

It’s alleged the 28-year-old woman from Paradise Point met the boy through an educational facility in Indooroopilly.

The woman had contact with the boy socially outside of school on various occasions from July 2022, when the grooming offences allegedly started.

Child Protection and Investigation Unit detectives arrested the woman on March 10, in relation to a complaint made in February.

The 28-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of grooming a child under 16 and one count of indecent treatment of a child under 16.

She is due to reappear at the Southport Magistrates Court on May 2.
