The Gold Coast Suns have been left red faced after their Facebook account was seemingly hacked overnight.
Fans of the Gold Coast AFL club woke on Tuesday to find their social media feeds littered with random videos from the Suns official account.
However, the footage had nothing to do with the club and was unrelated to any sport at all.
Followers saw the funny side to the unfortunate mishap, taking to the comment section with light-hearted remarks.
“Dimma got em working hard” one person wrote alongside vision of someone foraging for fruit and vegetables.
“Pre season training at the suns – all on the tools” commented another on a video of an excavator.
While a third person wrote “Gold Coast Suns set to drop out of the AFL to take role as contractor to build new QLD stadium!”
The club has confirmed in a statement to Hot Tomato that it is aware of the issue and is working to fix it as soon as possible.
“The Club is aware of the current issues with its Meta account and is working to rectify the situation,” the spokesperson said.
“SUNS Fans, please note that any post made at this time is unauthorised and we apologise for any inconvenience, harm or offence caused.
“The club will keep fans up to date with any updates on the situation”.
