Two Gold Coast high school students have been hospitalised after reportedly ingesting mushroom gummies.

Paramedics were called to Palm Beach-Currumbin State High around 1.30pm on Wednesday after two male students fell ill.

It’s understood the pair began suffering dizziness, along with altered consciousness and nausea after allegedly taking a product called Uncle Frog’s Mushroom Gummies.

The gummies have been part of a national recall due to the issues it has caused in other people.

Both boys were treated at the scene before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.
