A woman is fighting for life and a man has been seriously injured following a motorbike collision in Carrara.
The motorbike smashed into a Volkswagen Golf at the intersection of Birmingham Road and Nerang Broadbeach Road at around 8.40pm.
The rider, a 31-year-old man, sustained significant injuries, while his passenger, a 29-year-old woman, suffered critical injuries.
The duo were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
The occupants of the Volkswagen were not physically injured.
Police appeal to anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage of the incident or the moments prior, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
