Police have confirmed a man has died following a horror motorbike crash at Numinbah Valley in the Gold Coast hinterland.
The 40-year-old was travelling along Chesters Road near Nerang Murwillumbah Road just after 10am on Monday, when he lost control and slammed into a tree.
The rider, from Burleigh Heads, suffered critical injuries.
Despite desperate efforts by emergency crews, the man could not be revived and sadly died at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
