A Gold Coast man has tragically died in a single-vehicle motorbike crash on the Scenic Rim.

The 58-year-old Southport man left the road and struck a pole in Palen Creek on Saturday afternoon.

The motorcyclist was riding an orange 2022 KTM 690 Enduro travelling north along the Mount Lindsay Highway around 1.30pm when the incident happened.

A passing motorist raised the alarm and provided aid to the rider before paramedics arrived.

Despite best efforts, the man sadly died from his injuries at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash, or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
