Southbound motorists are being warned of massive delays, with the m1 currently CLOSED following a multi-vehicle crash.
The crash, reportedly involving up to 12 cars, happened around 10.30am, at Burleigh Heads near the West Burleigh exit, affecting all lanes.
A police incident has been confirmed to have taken place, however, a QPS spokesperson has confirmed this has now been resolved.
It’s not yet known the circumstances regarding the incident.
It’s understood some vehicles northbound may have been involved in a crash too, with lengthy delays going north as well.
Northbound lanes do, however, remain open.
Police say southbound lanes should re-open very soon, however motorists are being urged to avoid the area if possible.
Multiple emergency services remain on scene, including Police and Ambulance.
More to come.
