A home on the northern Gold Coast has been destroyed after a large blaze broke out in the early hours of this morning.
The raging inferno erupted at the Denise Drive property in Upper Coomera around 2am, with the intensity causing the roof of the home to collapse.
Multiple fire crews rushed to the scene and desperately worked to douse the flames, which had completely engulfed the two-storey property.
The three adults inside the home thankfully managed to escape uninjured.
However, one firefighter was taken to hospital in a stable condition with a head injury.
Crews are being praised for their efforts in preventing the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.
At this stage, authorities believe an e-scooter battery explosion may be to blame, however, investigations are ongoing.
