A Gold Coast home has been destroyed in a ferocious early morning fire just days out from Christmas.
Emergency services were called to the home on Colorado Circuit in Parkwood around 3am on Friday morning.
The single-storey house was well alight when four crews from Queensland Fire arrived at the scene.
It took around half an hour to bring the blaze under control.
Five people who were inside the home at the home at the time managed to escape the inferno.
All occupants declined assessment by Queensland Ambulance.
Fire investigators will inspect the property today.
It’s believed the blaze may have started in the garage.
