A northern Gold Coast family has had a lucky escape after a car ploughed through their home.
The vehicle smashed through the front fence and into the living room of a property in Pimpama.
It happened along William Boulevard at around 11.30pm Saturday evening.
The woman behind the wheel was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for a sample of blood to be obtained.
The driver in her 30s sustained minor injuries, while thankfully those inside the home were not injured.
A police investigation is ongoing.
