The Gold Coast has sweated through a hot and sticky night as heatwave conditions continue across the southeast.

The mercury in Coolangatta didn’t get below 26 degrees all night while at the Gold Coast Seaway the minimum temp was a balmy 25.6 degrees.

Canungra fared slightly better with a minimum temp of 23.1 degrees recorded just before 6am.

But it was the stifling humidity that had air conditioners pumping across the city all night.

Humidity at the Seaway was still sitting at 96 per cent at 7am while the dew point was a sticky 25.8 degrees.

Warm and muggy conditions will continue across Saturday with top temps of 32 degrees at the Seaway while Coomera will hit 33.

But the humidity will once again make it feel hotter than.
