Thieves remain on the run after smashing their way into a chemist on the Gold Coast in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A vehicle crashed through the front doors of the Ashmore Plaza Chempro Chemist around 4.00am on Sunday, however, it’s not known at this stage if they managed to get away with anything.
Owners of the chemist took to social media this morning to share the news.
“Unfortunately in the early hours on Sunday our business was severely damaged from a break-in attempt which involved a vehicle being driven through the front entrance,” the post said.
“Thankfully no one was injured from the incident however it has resulted in a lot of damage to our business.
“A big thank you must go out to the Queensland Police Service who were on site within minutes of the incident”.
Queensland Police confirmed to myGC that detectives are currently combing through CCTV footage as they attempt to track down the culprits.
Investigations are ongoing.
