Gold Coasters are being urged to keep the brolly handy, with rain and possible thunderstorms on the cards every day this week.
It comes after parts of the coast already saw lingering falls dump heavy rain overnight.
In the past 24 hours, up to 140mm of rain has fallen in areas around Tallebudgera and Upper Springbrook.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast showers right through until Sunday, with today expected to see the heaviest falls, with up to 30mm predicted.
Thunderstorms are also on the cards up until Saturday, however, it will remain relatively hot and muggy with daily temperatures between 28C and 30C.
