Motorists are being warned of nightmare traffic on the M1 this afternoon.
The northbound lanes are at a gridlock following a nasty collision between a motorbike and car.
It happened at Pimpama at around 3.30pm, with heavy congestion right back to Gaven.
A man has suffered a significant leg injury with multiple emergency services rushing to the scene.
He’s been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Traffic is also congested northbound from Mudgeeraba up to Worongary, with only a small amount of relief until you hit the heavy collision delays.
Motroists are also experiencing patchy delays southbound from Upper Coomera down to Gaven.
Meantime, there are also the usual heavy delays between Reedy Creek and Currumbin in both directions.
