The Friday afternoon traffic dramas have already begun, with a multi-vehicle crash involving three trucks causing long delays for motorists.
The vehicles collided northbound near Exit 62 at Gaven just after midday, with the impact causing one of the trucks to roll into the median strip.
Four people were treated at the scene by paramedics, but they all thankfully managed to escape serious injury and did not need to be taken to hospital.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area, with the two right lanes northbound and far right lane southbound currently closed.
It’s causing significant congestion in both directions.
