Four people have been taken into custody after leading police on a wild chase from the Gold Coast to Brisbane.
The dramatic pursuit was sparked after police attended a home in Pimpama around 8.30am on Wedenesday in relation to a man wanted on a return to prison warrant.
“A group of people have left the address in a Subaru Impreza and Polair and police have tracked the vehicle through Logan and south Brisbane districts,” A Queensland Police spokesperson said.
The group then ditched the Subaru Impreza in a carpark at a Sunnybank shopping centre, before leaving in a Toyota Hilux.
Officers and the police chopper continued to track the ute to Oxley, where a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed on Bowhill Road around 10.50am.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop on Blunder Road, where four people, including two men and two females, were taken into custody.

Police have confirmed neither of the cars involved were stolen.
