Five teenagers will front court today after allegedly taking a stolen car on a wild 80km joyride.
Police managed to track the stolen Landcruiser from Brisbane’s South all the way to Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast over the weekend.
Officers deployed tyre spikes to try and bring the car to a stop, but the 13-year-old girl behind the wheel allegedly continued driving the vehicle on its rims.
The stolen vehicle continued towards Pacific Pines, where one of the teens tried to jump out before he was taken into custody by police.
It didn’t take long for officers to catch up with the rest of the juveniles involved.
All five teens will appear in court today charged with a string of offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
