Police are on the search for five snakes that were taken by thieves during a burglary in Southport earlier this month.
The pythons were stolen sometime between 6am on September 9 and 5.45pm on September 10 from a home on Cotlew Street.
The burglars had forced their way into the home through a sliding door in the rear of the property.
Two of the snakes are described as dark olive green and around 3 metres long.
The other three are brown ‘Bredli’ pythons, ranging from approximately 1.8 to 2 metres long.
A UHF radio was also stolen during the burglary.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding this offence – or the location of the snakes – to come forward.
