Firefighters have quickly doused a large fire off a suburban Southport street this afternoon.
The blaze was spotted in an area of bushland along Olympic Court just before 12.30pm.
The bushland on fire was around 10 metres x 10 metres and dangerously close to many homes and businesses.
Firey’s working fast to ensure no properties came under any threat.
A QFES spokesperson confirmed a tent was spotted at the scene.
Police and Ambulance Services were also on the scene, however, there were thankfully no patients on the scene needing any treatment.
Police will be looking into the circumstances of the blaze.
